Masai Mara National Game Reserve is arguably Kenya's most popular game sanctuary. It is the most famous and most visited game reserve in Kenya. The large portion of the motion picture “Out of Africa” was filmed in this reserve. Virtually every type of wildlife can be seen on the Mara In the evening you will check-in at the Mara Leisure Tented Camp where sundowner cocktails (an extra cost) await you as you view the majestic sunset over the African plains.

Day 1: Arrive Nairobi, Kenya

You will be met in Nairobi by one of our driver/guides who will drive you to the Ibis Styles Hotel for your overnight stay. A city tour can be arranged depending upon your arrival time. You may pick from the tours to the Giraffe Centre, Karen Blixen, or David Sheldrick Elephant & Rhino Orphanage at extra cost.

Day 2: Nairobi - Maasai Mara National Game Reserve

After breakfast you will check-out and depart Nairobi for your drive down the escarpment through the floor of the scenic Great Rift Valley. You will arrive in time for lunch at Ashnil Mara Camp. Later in the evening you will take off on your first thrilling game drive in the Maasai Mara National Game Reserve. This reserve is arguably Kenya's most popular game sanctuary. Day 3: Maasai Mara National Game Reserve

After breakfast you will have a full day game drive with a picnic lunch to enjoy at the Mara River. You will see a wide variety of wildlife including giraffe, baboon, warthog, bat-eared fox, jackal, hyena, topi, impala, hartebeest, wildebeest. Elephant, buffalo, zebra and hippo can also be seen in great numbers. Without doubt the Great Annual Migration best seen July through August when millions of grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of lusher grass before turning south again October through December. You can also visit a Maasai village. On this tour you will see the Maasai warriors. These warriors are famously known as the proud nomadic tribe whose legendary prowess in battle and single-handed acts of bravery in fights with the wild animals are known across the world. You will see the tribe singing and dancing as a part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. Later in the evening you will return to the Mara Leisure Tented Camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 4: Maasai Mara National Game Reserve - Lake Naivasha

After breakfast you will check out and depart the Maasai Mara heading for Lake Naivasha. You will arrive at the Sopa Lodge, check-in and have lunch. The afternoon can be spent at your leisure, with several optional activities that include a boat ride, crescent island tour, or hiking at Hells Gate National Park. Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake, framed with thick papyrus. The lake’s waters are shallow with an average depth of five meters. The forests abound with bird life. Naivasha is known as a world class birding destination. The water attracts a wide range of game to the shores. You will see giraffe wandering among the acacia, buffalo wallowing in the swamps and hear Colobus monkeys calling from the treetops while hippo lazily float the day out in the shallows. You will enjoy a hot meal in the evening and then turn in for the night.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha - Amboseli National Park

After breakfast you will check-out and travel to Amboseli National Park. You will arrive at the Amboseli Serena Lodge where you will check-in and have lunch. After lunch a game drive is planned where you will see elephant, antelope, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and the elusive leopard. Nearly every visit within the park is framed by the majestic view of Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. Another optional visit to a Maasai village is planned. On this tour you will be able to get a glimpse into the homes and experience the social structure of these majestic tribal people. It is truly a poignant experience. Later in the evening you will return to the Serena Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve | Abundant Animals

After breakfast you will check-out and depart for Tsavo West National Park. You will arrive at the Kilaguni Serena Lodge in the afternoon. After check-in and lunch you will enjoy a game drive in this vast park. The park comprises a diversity of habitats, open plains alternating with savannah bush and semi-desert scrub; acacia woodlands; rocky ridges and outcrops. With a permanent water source, enormous herds and excellent game viewing of cheetah, lion, leopard and hyena and a herd of over 3,500 elephant can be seen. Red elephant, oryx, gerenuk and a wide variety of bird life can also be seen. Other notable features to visit include Mzima Springs, the water source for Mombasa Town and the Shetani Lava Flow and Ash Cones, an example of recent volcanic eruption in the region. Later in the evening you will return to the Serena Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 7: Tsavo West National Park - Mombasa

After breakfast you will check-out and depart for Mombasa. You will arrive at the Voyager Beach Resort where you will check-in and enjoy a late lunch. Here you will experience a different kind of Kenya; escape to the sparkling white sandy beaches, palm fringed skies and shimmering turquoise seas of Mombasa's tropical shores. You will enjoy the welcoming smiles from the local people, fresh seafood cuisine, and fascinating cultural influences from Arab, Swahili, British and Portuguese history. Spend the sun-kissed day on the pristine shore of Mombasa beach exploring the vibrant tropical coast. Later in the evening you will return to the resort for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 8: Mombasa

After breakfast you will spend the day enjoying your time at the resort. You can take part in a variety of activities from water sports to sailing boats and more. Discover the secrets of the sea by enrolling in a diving program. After a great day of fun and leisure, you will have dinner and turn in for the night.

Day 9: Mombasa

After breakfast you will have another day to spend at the beach resort. You can also enjoy bird watching, scuba diving and of course, sunbathing. An optional visit to the Kisite Mpunguti can be arranged at an extra cost. Kisite "Home of Dolphins" is one of the most rewarding snorkeling locations at the coast. Later in the evening you will have dinner and turn in for the night.

Day 10: Mombasa - Nairobi

After breakfast you will check-out and be driven to the Mombasa Airport for your flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi you will connect to your international flight back to home.
